What shall I do?
I can’t believe I’ve been such an idiot. I realised after about 3 seconds but by then quite a lot had been poured in.
The customer service desks opens at 9. Fingers crossed they can advise an easy fix
We’ve only had the thing about 12 months. Please don’t let me have ruined it

“Due to essential maintenance our Customer service line is closed. Normal service will resume at 8am tomorrow”

I use soda crystals in mine all the time as a maintenance to clear gunk.

I don’t think it will be ruined - people put soda crystals in to clean their dishwasher all the time? You might need to rinse your plates for a while until it gets used up but its fine. It isn’t poisonous or anything.

Google is amazing!

Dishwasher tabs have the compound in as well so dont worry about it

Alannawhorideslikeaman · 18/07/2021 09:05

It will give it an excellent clear out! You'll just have run a lot of cycles to clear it through though, not sure I'd want it on my plates.

Thank you so much everybody
I should have thought to look on the Dri Pak website Blush

I quite often put them in to clean it ! Didn't realise it might cause an issue??

@Happytodayhappytomorrow to be honest, as soon as I posted I regretted being so terse, so apologies for being a bit of a dick!
On the plus side I’ve enjoyed reading the dri-pak site. Grin and I do love a bit of soda crystal action!

No apology necessary. I catastrophised (is there such a word?) the whole thing initially without taking a step back and thinking and acting calmly.
You’re absolutely right that Google should usually come before Mumsnet in these incidences. Smile
