How much for cleaning

Hi,

Have a 4 bed 4 toilet house. Been quoted £70 per clean for 2 people to clean and I bet they would do a brilliant job but seems like a lot?

I may be out of touch tho, not had a cleaner for a few years.

East of England

I pay £25 for cleaning one bedroom, one bathroom, one living room, stairs hall and landing. In Yorkshire.

So £70 for a four bed, four toilets does not sound too bad.

I was west of England until recently and paid £55 for two people to do my 4 bed, 3 bathroom, 3 reception room house - not sure if it makes any odds but 2 of the bedrooms were used as home offices. It didn’t take them long, they took a floor each and we’re there maybe just over 2 hours?

A one off clean or a regular clean?

One off that sounds pretty good

My cleaner is £12 ph (S/SW) and she comes for 4 hours a week, sometimes 5.

We have a large Victorian house with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms

I pay £40 a week for a large 3 bed (although one is the guest room so not used), 2 bathrooms, downstairs loo and living spaces.

£70 doesn't seem too bad to me.

MotionActivatedDog · 14/07/2021 21:19

It’s probably about 4 man hours so £70 sounds about right. Particularly if it’s through and agency.

Regular clean. I think we’d go fortnightly. 120 for a deep clean

I'm in London and pay my cleaner £11 an hour. So for £70 I'd expect a little over 6 hours work. If the two cleaners each do 3 hours that seems reasonable and should be enough to do a 4 bathroom house to a high standard.

I'm South East in a 4-bed, 2 bathroom. I pay my cleaner £45/week for 3 hours/week. She's thorough. I've had cheaper but they've been crap. £70 seems like a lot to me to pay each week. Can you give them a time allowance and then prioritise the rooms you want cleaning each week?
