Recommend me a rug/carpet/sofa cleaning machine please!!

Vax/Bissell/rug doctor? I can't decide which to go for. Big upright or not?

We have rugs downstairs - wool 80/20 and cotton weave. We have 100% wool upstairs.
Am thinking the big uprights use a brush to clean the pile, which wouldn't be good for wool?
Also want to clean a sofa.

Think I need suction over anything else.

Difficult to weigh up - I need you experience and guidance! Ta x

I have the Bissell StainPro and it is fabulous. It's a bit bulky and takes a bit of getting used to but it sucks up so much rubbish and really deep cleans. It also has a tool that you can use on upholstery and mattresses - big thumbs up from me!

I've got a bissel and hate the attachments.
The upright does a great job but the hose etc are crap imo.
Likely different models have better accessories but I keep seeing the vax platinum advert....

That's the model we have.
For the rugs, carpets great. For the stairs and chairs I'd prefer a motorised attachment this just has a vacuum tube with brushes to rub with and a trigger spray.

Ok for wool carpets? Or would they fluff up too much?
