How to unclump a clumped up padded coat

I didn't know quite how else to put it Smile

I've washed a padded coat according to the instructions. However the padding, which is sewn in to separate compartments is clumped and so there's thin bits and thick bits.

It's feather and down.

I've shaken it, tumbled on cool but still no good.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Put it in a dryer with a few tennis balls. If that doesn't work, find heavier balls...rubbery ones.

Help! 6 dog balls (hastily washed) hasn't made much difference.

I had this and just shoved it back in the drier - for ages!! Came out fine. I think some of the down must have still been very slightly damp even though it felt completely dry.
