Washer/Dryer Recommendations

I'm having my kitchen remodelled and reducing my utility room so cannot fit in my separate washing machine & tumble dryer. Thinking about going for a washer/dryer but wonder if they are any good. I read that the drying times take long when combined. I notice some have small drums. Also, the fire aspect worries me after historical issues with Hotpoint bursting into flames.

No they're useless honestly, even the Miele ones. Try and find a way to have separate .

We have an AEG one and I'm pleased with it, it came with the house, we have a dryer in the garage but only really use that for bedding and when timing is an issue. It does take a bit longer to dry but still manage to do in about 2 hours, but it does crinkle a bit more than the other tumble dryer. I'm lazy and love doing it all in one machine, my husband prefers the tumble dryer, I'm just too lazy to go to the garage Grin

If you can find space for a dryer I would, but if you really can't then I think this a good plan B.
