When you move home, how do you transport the mattress?

When I bought mine years ago I kept the wrapper it came in (got it out by cutting along one edge only) and rewrapped it every time I moved house so t didn't get dirty.

Hopefully I'm staying put for the foreseeable future and I'm decluttering so I'm thinking I don't need the wrapper any more.

But what if something goes wrong and I unexpectedly need to move? Should I keep the wrapper just in case or bin it because there's another solution?

If it is a sturdy, reusable wrapper, could you reuse it?

Yes that's what I've been doing and it's very effective, I didn't know whether there was a better way, so then I could bin the wrapper.

That sounds so simple now you say it. I feel dumb for not thinking of it myself!

I think you can buy giant bags from Amazon too.

We did a fitted sheet either side, with masking tape to hold them in place.

Don't laugh, but I have my mattress inside a duvet cover.on the bed.
Sheet goes over the duvet cover.

I bought mattress bags from Amazon. They worked a treat.

If you want to keep the wrapper, could you just store it in between the mattress and bed base?

Thanks everyone, you've all been a real help. I guess two fitted sheets would work just as well as two mattress protectors, yes. I never realized a mattress would fit inside a duvet cover, that's genius. Never thought of sticking the wrapper between the mattress and bed base either, that would at least free up some space elsewhere. Off to Google giant mattress bags now, had no idea they even existed.
