Black Mould in Bathroom

Hi. I have black mould on the sealant in my bathroom and between the tiles need cleaning.

I have tried:
Bicarbonate of soda
Vinegar
Cillit Bang black mould remover (left it on for a couple of hours)

Nothing has worked. Anybody got any ideas what might work? Thanks

Strong bleach is usually effective, OP. But if not, and the sealant is old, it may be easier to just replace the sealant.
You then need to address the cause of the mould - usually poor ventilation and persistent dampness. A powerful extractor fan, or opening the window after showers or baths should help stop it recurring.

HG mould remover. Available in B&Q or Amazon. Works brilliantly.

HG mould remover!
Leave on for 5 mins. I don’t even have to scrub I just rinse it and it comes off straight away.
Very strong so window needs to be opened and watch it doesn’t go on your clothes as it stains

We also use the HG one regularly to good effect.

Is the HG one safe on a matt sort of natural looking tile?

MadMadMadamMim · 09/06/2021 23:52

HG are usually good.

DH soaks toilet roll in bleach and places it carefully all along the sealant in a sort of bleach/toilet roll rope. Leave overnight. (This is in the shower at the bottom, between tiles and tray - I appreciate it might not be easy to do inbetween tiles)

Remove and the mould is gone.
