Removing fly mesh window net glue/adhesive from UPVC

Please see the photo attached to this post.

This has been there for around two years.

I have tried applying WD-40 for a few minutes before attempting to scratch away with kitchen roll and my fingernails but it's not budged.

Any ideas?

Have you tried getting a thin blade under it?

I had these on my windows when I lived at home, when I moved out my poor mum had to spend weeks scrubbing at them with a scraper and hot soapy water. Don't think she's forgiven or forgotten it, even after 4 years. How about that label removing spray stuff? Or metholated spirit, we use that at work to get rid of sticky residue.

Have you tried vinegar spray? It works really well on slime etc so worth a go

Sticky stuff is brilliant for this sort of thing! You can get it on Amazon or in hobbycraft

You can try sticky stuff remover (get the spray one). I had some that were really stubborn and it didn't work on, although helped somewhat. For those pink stuff paste and a scrub mommy worked (you can get both of those in home bargains, b&m etc).
