Yes it does my OH works in this area and i have had it home to test it is the best eco-friendly washing powder in the market to date according to the test results (both at home and scientifically). However, it is still not as good as Ariel Bio, but still works really well. .

tissy · 19/11/2007 20:28

traceukw1, does it have a strong smell? We're so used to Surcare in this house, that a smell puts us off!

traceukw1 · 19/11/2007 23:24

Tissy yes it does IMO as i am used to Ariel which is very subtle but this one is strong, thats another reason for me sticking with Ariel just now.
Although, this info was passed on to the people at Eco-Smart and they might now be looking into making one with a less potent smell.

brimfull · 19/11/2007 23:28

oh thanks

I think ariel is quite strong smelling tbh.Does this smell even stronger?

Oh yeah it is way stronger than Ariel and even once you have washed the clothes it takes a few days for it to settle down on the clothes. However, it is still really good and not far away from Ariels standards.

MegaLegs · 20/11/2007 14:13

Was about to say it smells way too strong, quite unpleasant really, makes me sneeze. Have always used Ecover which had hardly any smell. I hope they change it.

lulumama · 20/11/2007 14:14

yes, i ordered the dishwasher tablets and they arrived the next day and are great! my friend ordered the washing tabs and gave me a tub. i found them to be excellent, no strong smell either.

am very pleased and am going to order the washing tabs

hi,
i use the non bio washing powder for my dds nappies and it works as well as other non bios. At morrisons its only 1.99 with a coupon for 50p off valid till end of december in each tub as well. i'm not sure if morrisons 1.99 price is a limited offer or the normal price but it is cheaper than the online price at mo and i do like a bargain.

brimfull · 20/11/2007 19:33

ooh cheap at morrisons then, thanks may make a trip there
glad to hear they've sorted out the strong smell

What a strange thing the sense of smell is...

I've been using this stuff for a while now and I LOVE the smell!!!

I guess its one of those things that are personal to each individual and I'd certainly recommend giving it a go!

I've never can any complaints with the performance and for certain things like soaking or handwashing I've found it much better than the big brands! xx

WendyWeber · 22/11/2007 13:47

I've been using it for a while now and just re-ordered this week (next day delivery!)

I have always previously used either Ariel or Persil non-bio - prefer Ariel but hardly anybody sells it now - I don't notice a smell at all with this and am v pleased with the results. I also like the dissolving wrapper!

It does sometimes leave a tiny residue on the door seal, not sure why, but that can be wiped away and there doesn't seem to be any on the clothes.

WendyWeber · 22/11/2007 13:49

If you get the d/w tabs (£4.99) as your freebie it effectively cuts the price per tub to £1.74.

WendyWeber · 22/11/2007 13:51

And you don't have to carry it home with your groceries!

(Will go away now. Anyway I like it, can you tell? )

jes74 · 22/11/2007 16:18

just been to morrisons and its now £2.99 so was only a special offer price so looks like internet best value now, so where did i put my card? looks like its time to shop

Dee3 · 22/11/2007 17:21

£2.99 isn't a bad price though!!!

Compare that to Ecover! I think it's pretty good!
