Machine washable rugs

I am looking at rugs which have a machine washable upper layer. Has anyone had a rug like this? Are they any good?
Looking at Ruggable but there are other manufacturers.

I have some, but I beat them not wash them as they get gritty.
I bung most rugs in the washing machine eventually but I usually soak them first to get rid of grit.

The rubber back ones don't last long if they are washed a lot, IME.

Facebook is targeting me for these, I'm tempted! The algorithm is strong...

The Ruggable ones look good as you can "unpeel" the top layer from the bottom rug pad. So the top bit is laundered but bottom isn't IYSWIM. I am also considering but will but a small bedroom one first to check it out.

I was tempted by ruggable until I read reviews about how they stretch the print to fit the different sizes, and it put me off. Are there any other companies doing something similar?
I have a cat who is obsessed with peeing on rugs so it would be very useful to have a washable option.
