Cleaning a magimix blender

I bough a magimix blender 4 or 5 months ago. One of those power blenders with a glass jug.

It gets used twice a week on average and I clean it carefully with one of those bottle brushes. But today was the first time I actually took the whole thing apart - it was a bit smelly so I took it apart and there was all this smelly sludge behind the rubber seal!

Do most people unscrew all the bits only once in a while?

I haven't got a magimix one, but I clean ours after every use with warm water and a squirt of walking up liquid - blend for a little bit. Then rinse out fully. I only take it apart every couple of months as that seems to clean it reasonably well, much better than brushes
