Really boring. Hand held hoover

Sorry .
I'm after a good handheld hoover for carpets . My hoover is too heavy for the stairs and I've resorted to brushing it with a stiff brush.
I've looked at some on line but all the reviews seem to be about hoovering out cars!
Looked at a shark but can't afford.
It doesn't have to be expensive under £60 if possible as it won't get much use 😬
Slatten housewife
Something easy to charge and comes with some attachments if possible.

I was going to recommend Vax blade but even the cheapest is double what you want to pay. It is light, my arthritic wrists can now hoover without flaring up & causing me agony, suction is really good and it’s very easy to use & empty.

You can get a reconditioned one that has a 12 month guarantee though.

I've been searching for something similar OP. I bought a Dyson stick as my back is knackered, easy to push around and carry up the stairs. But then got a hand injury, and find having to keep the power button pressed on is difficult, and can't Hoover the stairs as the weight of the hand held bit plus holding the button in is too painful.
I've just bought a Wickes wet and dry, very cheap, to do the stairs and hard floors. Other than adapting to a cord again so far so good.

I've had a dirt devil for years I like it

So I finally on a whim bought a hand held hoover from Aldi £14!
Husband said it would be crap.
It's actually quite good. Did the stairs with it then emptied it on to some kitchen roll and was impressed. So was husband!
It would be useless for the car but does the job on stairs and picking up random bit. And it also does liquids as well. But I tend to drink my wine not spill it

O have a friend who swears by a rubber broom for carpet on stairs. Very affordable. And she’s one who does all sorts of research, if that helps.
