Luda my brother is like that too. I've seen him three times since Ed was born. He's bought a house, we've never been/been invited. His Xmas and birthday pressies from 2 years ago are still on the wardrobe and I've sent cards but he hasn't acknowledged them or sent one in return. Brothers hey!

I've tidied the paperwork on the kitchen table and given Ed his lunch. Going to ring my friend again and see if we can take her son his pressy

Oh and BIL is as bad. He is so damn difficult to buy for and about 6 weeks before birthday/xmas he goes out a buys the reasonably priced stuff you were thinking of getting him. I reckon he does it to back you into a corner and get you to buy something more expensive tbh.

Then DH says 'I think DB would like XYZ and XYZ is something I bought DH that I spent ages thinking about/saving for

Right, Rant over

It's snowing here

MinnSpyHandCream · 18/11/2007 19:12

Where are you BCF?

(jealous of snow!!)

BiancaCastafiore · 18/11/2007 19:19

Cotswolds. Slushy snow, but snow none-the-less

BiancaCastafiore · 18/11/2007 19:31

OK, kids are tucked up, both very tired.

Still snowing and settling on the cars and grass but brrrrr it's cold this evening!

I ended up being very poorly so missed out on lunch out with PiL Have had a little nap this afternoon and feel a bit brighter for it but still pretty yukky.

I know what you mean Luda, I prefer buying for friends over family mostly, although we are pretty close to my db and SiL and also to dhs sister but we haven't seen dhs BiL for ages so he's a prob to buy for.
I must make a better effort with the home-made presents over the next couple of weeks.

Have done no FLYing and have just realised the kids school uniforms are still dirty so need to get them washed and dried this eve with myself for forgetting them.

Hello
Been quite busy today tidying up before friend came round. Put loads of washing away and made biscuits and flajacks. We also had a roast for tea!
Friend came at 7pm as he said he would but was gone by 8.30 . Was nice to have adult company even for a short time!
Bianca Hope you are feeling better now. Am very of snow. I didn't see any forecast.

I don't think i mentioned the other day that i got a bike seat for my bike for DD2 to sit in. £12 off Ebay and brand new. Its fitted on now but been too wet today to test it. i don't think the rain has stopped all day!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 18/11/2007 21:15

Meant to add I only buy for my DC and my nephew. Plus brother and my mum and dad.
My sister doesn't really bother with us. Not seen her since last xmas. And she hasn't sent any birthday cards this year either. I sent to my Nephew last week but i haven't heard if he got it. Put £5 in too so would like to know if it arrived!
