Handheld Steamer

I am thinking about getting a handheld steamer to steam the creases out of my bed linen, instead of ironing them........

Does anyone do this, does it work?

What else do you use it for?

TIA. Flowers

Just bought one and tried it on some trousers. Definitely something I can see myself using. I have an iron that I never use. Our clothes don't need ironing but every now and again there will be an item that could do with creases out. Also useful for curtains if you ha event and fabric sofas

I’ve got one of these and whilst it gets the worst of the creases out you won’t get that crisp ironed look; also steaming bedding takes quite a long time- it’s almost just as quick to iron! I use my steamer quite a lot to freshen up things that have languished in the back of a wardrobe for a while, and also to get creases out of fabrics that are very delicate and I’m scared I’ll ruin by ironing.
As an aside (although not perfect) I’ve actually found the quickest way to deal with ironing bedding is to take it straight off the washing line (so it’s not getting creased in a cupboard), make the bed, and then iron it!
