pressure cookers-anyone use one?????????

Does anyone use a pressure cooker and if yes-is it worth investing in one?
Any recommendations on make?

I have my mum's old pressure cooker and have to admit I've never used it as a pressure cooker, just a lovely big heavy based pan, ideal for curries and large family gatherings

that's just what I'll end up doing I'm sure!
