Kids have just finished watching "The Polar Express" and I'm feeling all christmassy and sentimental.

I can't wait to be able to start putting the tree and decorations up.....
Since having kids we have allocated the whole of december to christmas...no more and no less...the decorations go up on the 1st and come down on the 31st. Then we get long enough to enjoy it, but not too long to get sick of it
(and the 1st is a saturday this year so we get all day to do it! )

Well I have finally finished my ironing basket. Did the last of it whilst blubbing at the lovelieness of The Polar Express
I'm a big emotional pansy!!!

I'm off now to put my three little monkeys to bed, and attack the hall cupboard (need somewhere to stash the kids christmas presents....I am sure the hall cupboard won't be a safe enough place before too long, I got away with it completely last year, they were all non the wiser...)

Well DD2 has just nodded off and I've yet to do her nappy so I'd better go do it and get her to bed

Ok...I'll attack the cupboard after Eastenders...and chocolate..

Good grief you'd have had to have sedated me before I'd have done that!!!

(They laid her in a coffin...lowered a lid on...let 2,000 cockroaches into it and then suspended her in mid air over a raveen....uncovering it so she could see....and she stayed there for 10 minutes!!!)

She was nearly sick when she got out....she said the smell was awful...and they bit!

I used to work with a man who kept creepy crawlies...and he had hissing cockroaches, which he would take to schools and exhibitions etc....and they do stink...and they are gross EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

Yes it was DD3 who had a bath....she is now squeaky clean and has nice fine wispy hair again (as opposed to clumps of greasy strandys ).

By LDC is in the oven...then I have to drizzle it and wait for it to cool before I can go to bed.... regretting this now...

My kitchen is a tip and it will stay that way overnight

It is drizzled with syrup to...a nice glossy sticky finish....smells delish....lovely and golden...nice pockets of air...

I'm completely exhausted and still not ready for my stream of visitors tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll ever be ready, there seems to be an endless list of tasks to get through....the main things I must do before bed are~

~hoover and mop hall floor
~s&s kitchen
~s&s bathroom
~put clean covers on bed (why do I always leave this till the last minute)
~ice fairy cakes and bag up
~swop table from bedroom woth one in living room
~lay out clothes for the morning
~have bath

Anything else will have to wait and I'll do a frantic tidy round in the morning.

WM door fell off today. It will stay on once shut. I risked a load of washing to test it.

Actually it was really difficult to clice as it was soooo light and airy...and a bit too sticky to put more than one layer in a tin I think.....

The crumbs are all I would be allowed Waaaaaaaaaaah!!!

I don't bake. Can't be bothered really. I like cooking and cook fresh every day but by the time I have done that the last thing I want to do is stand at the cooker baking... I envy people who enjoy it though.

Actually, am having my parents over for dinner on Saturday and have been given about 3000 pears from a friend from her tree so might make a pudding....

Right off to put cake in tins and find my bed .

Will be around for some serious (maybe) FLYing tomorrow.

We only managed to cook the salt dough shapes today, so will have an afternoon of painting and glittering tomorrow, as it is music and movement in the morning.

I have a pile of stars (s sizes), Christmas trees and hearts - all with holes in the top.

I also have done Merry Christmas in letters and have some dough left, so will do, Peace, Joy and Noel and Hope tomorrow.

I am going to give one of the decorations to their Godparents and Nanna, Grandad and Grandma.

we are also going to decorate a plate with handprints for each of them and some coasters. we will also make some fudge too.

Any other ideas for easy, inexpensive home made christmas gifts much appreicated. we will be giving home made fudge to nursery, music group, swimming teacher etc

Kitchen is clean adn I managed to get the home blessing and weekley shop done today too. Dehumidifyer is currently sucking out water and I am hoping that the weather is dry for the weekend, so we can at least make the garden safe after operation builder.

I'm feeling better again, downstairs is all tidy and ready (will be trashed by lunchtime so I'm not sure why I've bothered!) Upstairs will have to stay as it is, I'll just wipe round the bathroom in the morning.
