New Miele Dishwasher - can't tell it's on?!

Just replaced 15 year old Miele fully integrated dishwasher with brand new version - but this model doesn't seem to have the red light on the top edge that illuminates when it's running. Am I missing something? Why have Miele got rid of this function?

Does it have a red light at the bottom edge of the door which glows into the floor?

No mention in the manual, no light on floor - can't understand why such a decent brand would dispense with such a useful feature. I am unreasonably irritated by it.

I've had Miele dishwashers for 20+ years. I've always had to touch them and feel the vibration to see if they are running.
