I see a lot of recommendations about DIY kitchens on here so I’m looking at their doors at the minute.
Watching with interest for any other recommendations.

I've just installed a small DIY kitchen in my annexe . I've very impressed with the finished results. So much so, I'm now looking at buying another for my main kitchen later this year when I had been going to go for a bespoke wooden kitchen.

It’s so expensive for a whole new kitchen !

Was it quite reasonable to do it ?

Depends on your budget really. The annexe kitchen units were £1.8k but it is a small kitchen. Our fitter charged us £1.5k to fit everything including the backsplash tiling and plumbing the sink. On top of that, we had to buy a new sink, tap, oven and hob.

Our main kitchen that I'm just fiddling with the design of will be about £8k for units alone.

We want to do them ourselves ,we just want the doors not worktops or anything else we are in a new build I just hate the colour of my kitchen !

Can you get the doors wrapped to change the look of them? That might be more cost effective.

I'm having my kitchen wrapped next week. I have high hopes...

The problem with just changing your doors is that side panels, plinths, cornice, exposed frames etc might all look odd. Have you considered a respray?

Looloo4007 · 01/05/2021 17:42

I haven't heard of a resprqy.don't fancy !
