What do I clean the disgusting, sticky extractor fan out with ?

Anyone ?
Washing up liquid isn’t doing it, I’m just smearing the fat around.

Is it the one in the kitchen?

I used a wet wipe on the hood part of mine and it literally just wiped all the gunk right off.

Mine has a pull out metal filter in 3 parts and I run them through the dishwasher

It’s really disgusting, and fairy liquid and a scrubber aren’t doing the job. So I’m not sure a baby wipe would do it.
I might see if I can pay someone to do it properly.

Is it the grill/mesh part you're trying to clean?
Bottle of Elbow Grease spray from Home Bargains or B&M... it's like magic! Pretty sure it's only £1 a bottle!

Mine was pretty grim and I was surprised as anything that the wet wipe just literally cut through it.

and I'd tried with a kitchen spray with no luck and all that did was smear it about and the wet wipe - I think it was a kitchen one rather than a babies one, literally cut through it

Chasingsquirrels · 01/05/2021 07:55

Wet wipe clean a lot of things!

ShaunaTheSheep · 01/05/2021 07:57

I use a steamer.

No, it’s the inside, where the fan is. It’s an extractor in the top row of cupboards where you pull it out to switch it on . The one over the job in the kitchen.

TFR. Probably chemically pollutes the water table for a mile from your home, but everything you need cleaned, inside and out, will be grease free and sparkling. On an eco par with bleach and hot water, fairy et al liquid, or Zoflora, but more effective for less effort.

DinosaurDiana · 01/05/2021 09:24

I wonder if anyone would do it for me, you know like the people who clean your ovens ?

A strong washing soda solution will get it off with no scrubbing but wear rubber gloves as it makes your skin feel slimy otherwise.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/05/2021 07:29

Our grease filters deteriorated over time and the inside got mucky so I used pink stuff paste on a green scourer. I had to replace the fan in the end.
