Long window cleaning pole. Anyone?

Local external window cleaners would charge £30 for my house, but you have to sign up for every 2 months. A pole on Amazon costs £50-85, that connects to your hose.

Is that going to do the job? Or am I missing something? Do they use a pressure washer? Do I need a long pole to apply detergent, first?

I'd never given it much thought!

I'd happily pay £30 for 4 cleans a year, but I don't need 6.

Replying to myself; someone else on Housekeeping suggests you can't get enough physical pressure on a brush to say scrub the window frames, which I guess is where a pressure washer comes in.

Am a bit confused!
