Henry or Harry?

Karcheer · 13/04/2021 13:27

I have had Dyson, Sebo and Shark and non of them seem very good.
I've had builders here the last few weeks and their Henry seems far superior to anything i've ever had.
So i'm thinking of getting one...

Just popped on the website and as I have dogs it suggests Harry rather than Henry...

Does anyone know if Henry is better than Harry...

Thank you!

P.S am I made should I get another Dyson, Sebo, Shark instead?

I have a Henry upstairs. He’s the biggest twat going to be honest.

Have a Sebo Felix Pet downstairs and I love it so much. My favourite vacuum ever.

Karcheer · 13/04/2021 13:34

@IAmTheDuke umm... DOn't you find the Sebo very heavy?
I'm thinking I maybe need one upstairs and one downstairs :/

No not too bad although I would like another Sebo for upstairs but couldn’t justify the cost as the dogs aren’t allowed upstairs so it doesn’t really get too bad up there.
Henry is easy to lift but I don't find him very agile. I only have him as someone was moving and didn’t need him anymore.

Miele

Karcheer · 15/04/2021 08:56

@cheeseychovolate is that the Miele Cat and Dog?

In the time I've had a Henry I've also gone through 3 Dysons, a (second hand) Miele and a Shark. They all seem to die for some reason, not sure what I'm doing to them. Henry on the other hand will take any abuse you throw his way and keep cheerfully sucking away.

cheeseychovolate · 16/04/2021 18:58

Yes Miele cat and dog. Very good, had no problems with it. I'm a cleaner and lots of my customers have dogs and it's really good and easy to clean the brush.

OnASwankyMarleyPond · 16/04/2021 19:09

Second the Miele Cat and Dog - bought it new in 2014 and still going strong with 3 kids, two cats and a polar bear cross dog.

Bloody Dyson died a week outside its warranty Hmm I only used that in the kitchen anyway to keep on top of dog hair. Have now invested in a Eufy which does a daily run and use the Miele for a big vac once a week.

triceratopsmama · 16/04/2021 19:39

Henry is an arsehole. I hate him. The worst hoover ever. Awkward, gets stuck constantly, falls over with the slightest tug. I absolutely hate the fucker.

Blackcountrychik · 16/04/2021 19:44

The newer version of Henry isn’t the same power ! My mum had one a few years ago and you have to turn the power down but these new ones don’t have the extra power .

smithyca · 16/04/2021 19:50

I've got Henry and he's 15 years old and still going strong. When I was younger and worked in a few hotels as a housekeeper they all had Henry's because they are so reliable. I do have a cordless dyson for a quick clean and it's handy for the car but it's nowhere as good as Henry.

🤣🤣 so true.

Karcheer · 17/04/2021 08:55

Thank you all... Thinking im steering away from Henry then. I've just had the house decorated and would be peeved if he bashed into all the paintwork!

I love my Henry! We had a shark cordless which was the biggest pile of shit ever! Henry can be a bit naughty getting stuck behind things but had brilliant suction!

JaneExotic · 17/04/2021 09:05

I also have a Eufy and a Miele cat n dog. They’re both brilliant but I love my Eufy like a child

PJ04JCW · 17/04/2021 09:08

Another vote for Eufy. No pets here but a lot of 40cm long blonde hair which is probably worse!

sashh · 17/04/2021 09:09

I have a Miele, it can't be ued on the highest setting as it would rip up the laminate. (only half joking)

Henry seems to have a bit of a problem

Cardboardeaux · 17/04/2021 09:12

I second Miele - mine is 25 years old and still going strong!

LittleRa · 17/04/2021 09:15

I thought this was a baby names thread Grin

Karcheer · 17/04/2021 09:17

I'm now thinking the

sebo.co.uk/sebo-automatic-x7-pet-epow.html - for carpets
www.miele.co.uk/e/cordless-stick-vacuum-cleaners-triflex-hx1-catanddog-smml0-11410150-p - for tiles/wood floors.

Will keep the Sebo upstairs and just bring it down when the lounge needs a thorough vacuum.

@sashh not sure I could afford the rehab fees.

Mishmased · 18/04/2021 11:18

I was just going to say Miele.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/04/2021 14:20

Halo Capsual Cordless for quick cleans
3-in-1 George for heavy duty and carpet cleaning .....though I've only done half the stairs because it is hrd work Blush
