Any ideas how to smarten these up? They are covered in marks I can’t get off - scares to try a spray

Do you mean the ceramic tops?
I have to admit mine were very grubby looking for a long time - and then I discovered that using a hob scraper (the sort with a blade in them) shifted the lot.
