Has anyone got an ikea utility room?

Our utility room is very handy but in need of attention. The cupboards are falling apart, the lino floor is ripped & it needs decorating. It’s quite small - I’d like to fit some cupboards and maybe a new sink. I love the ideas in Ikea but can’t see which cupboards online etc are for a utility room.
Has anyone had a utility room from ikea & how did you go about it? Will they design it if you give measurements etc or do you just work it out yourself? Thanks

Utility room cupboards are the same as kitchen cupboards. You can look up all the measurements and design it yourself or book in for one of their appointments. You are essentially buying a very small kitchen! We went in-store and I found the designer we had very good (we did a combined kitchen and utility design with her) but I am sure she could have done it just as well online. In store you get to look at all the cupboard doors, worktops etc and play with the cupboard insert options, which helps you to visualise it all.

If you use the visualiser on the IKEA website it works better on a pc or laptop than a tablet IMO. Use the 2d plan mode to move and add things rather than the 3D which will take forever!

I found it a really great tool because it will pop up warnings if you need to leave a gap somewhere, or can’t put the sink in that position etc.

It’s worth having a play around with if only for ideas! Make sure you look at some of their ideas for inside presses as well.
