Samsung EcoBubble washing machine broken after 18 months.......

We've got a washing machine (was around £400 new) that has always been a bit temperamental on a full spin. We got the spirit level out a few times and made sure it was level etc. Then 2 weeks ago, we noticed a funny "hot" smell coming from it, so I rang to arrange someone to check it. They came out next day, which was impressive, and the engineer looked at it for about 3 minutes declaring the drum was coming off the fittings, it had badly damaged the seal as a result and needed extensive replacement parts including a new drum.

I was slightly horrified, as the warranty runs out in September. Worse than that, I've been chasing them every single day now for over 2 weeks and the latest repair date is the 19th April. I've been told time and time again that the complaint has been sent to the "escalation" team but the bottom line is that they're just passing me from pillar to post.

Has anyone else had similar with them and how did you solve it??! I'm getting very cranky now with 4 adults in the house and having to keep begging loads of washing from family................

We have the Samsung eco bubble washer dryer. Had it just over a year and it’s broken for the 4th time last week. Luckily when we bought it from curry’s we also bought their care plan and so they are going to send an engineer out to look at scrapping the machine and giving us a new one

We bought from AO.com and I didn't take any extra warranty.

4th time sounds horrific............

Just passing through and wanted to remind you that if you bought the machine using a credit card and you don't get any joy from the manufacturer, you can claim against the credit card company instead.

They'll expect you to have jumped through some of Samsung's hoops first of course.
