dementedpixie · 29/03/2021 10:23

Zoflora?
I mainly use it in the washing machine although I have used it on puked on carpet too

theneverendinglaundry · 29/03/2021 10:56

We use it to clean our downstairs floor as we have high gloss tiles and it's the only thing that doesn't streak.

It's also good for getting the smell of sick out of carpets and sofas.

Confusedandshaken · 31/03/2021 21:02

I put a splash of Fresh Linen in the fabric softener compartment to make clothes smell fresh.

I add it to Koh so it doubles as a sanitiser as well as a cleaner. For that I use my favourites Honeysuckle and `jasmine and also the White Blossoms scent because they smell lovely.

I put scents I don't like as much down sinks and loos to freshen the bathrooms.

Woodlandbelle · 31/03/2021 22:55

I use it to freshen sinks. Put the plug in. Boiling water and a capful smells lovely.
Or decant into a spray bottle and spritz on carpets.
Use diluted to freshen inside the fridge and counters.
Use to mop the floor (once floor is already hoovered and fairly clean) the zoflora isn't enough to clean a dirty floor but nice to freshen

FortunesFavour · 31/03/2021 23:31

I bought a bucketload of the stuff due to an unfortunate online error...thought I’d ordered 6 condensed bottles, ended up with 6 packs of 6 instead. So I’m watching with interest for ideas to use my 36 bottles! Thanks in advance Grin👍

TaraR2020 · 01/04/2021 00:03

The smell.

I've only recently discovered it and I love the way it smells. I know this is weird but I don't care Grin

DalgettyRoo · 01/04/2021 15:16

I put a squeeze on my washing up sponge to keep the germs at bay, put a splash in the fabric softener drawer to make the laundry smell fresh, and also use it to clean the washing machine and dishwasher rubber seals.

Teesel · 01/04/2021 15:24

I mop the floor and walls of my boy sons' bathroom. There's 3 of them and they seem to wee everywhere but in the loo. They're teens. Sometimes it smells like the men's bogs in the rough pub. 🤢

GingerFreaker · 03/04/2021 00:26

Dilute some in the bathroom sink, wash round the entire room and floor.

Same in the kitchen.

Sometimes soak washing up sponge, the washing machine knackers them.

Use in conditioner drawer for towels and kids bedding.

Spritz on floor before steaming.

I keep some diluted in a spray bottle, it's good for 2 weeks, constantly using it on the downstairs loo. Especially when visitors are due... I have boys....

And wiping over a warm radiator.

Wiping out bins when I change a bag...

I seem to use it, or similar, quite a bit, but I'd certainly struggle to get through previous posters 36 bottles 😁

murbblurb · 03/04/2021 18:59

Frightening things off - tried it for the first time recently. Even at double the recommended dilution, what a stink!!

ineedaholidayandwine · 03/04/2021 19:03

Following. Can you put a capful or 2 in the drum of the washing machine to clean it?

dementedpixie · 03/04/2021 19:32

Yes you can
I also use a capful or 2 in the fabric softener bit of the machine when washing towels or smelly gym kit

mnahmnah · 03/04/2021 19:40

I wipe down radiators with it, so when they’re on the room smells of it. Also all doors, kitchen cupboard doors and floors. Great in the car too

BobbinThreadbare123 · 03/04/2021 19:50

Wiping surfaces and radiators. Cleaning the frames of doors and windows, inside and out. Got a very small ensuite bathroom so I do the floor by hand with a Zoflora cloth. Doing the sinks in between bleach. Quite good for mopping.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 03/04/2021 19:55

Nothing! It made me cough as soon as I opened the bottle, clearly something very very toxic in there.

I put half a capful in a bucket of water to soak the bedding in after my dh had Covid and then washed on a 60 degree wash with 3 rinses ... and it still stank of Zoflora.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole now.

Kdubs1981 · 03/04/2021 19:56

Highly toxic and minging. I can't stand the stuff

FlyingBurrito · 03/04/2021 19:56

Aren't there are about 50 different smells? The ones I've tried all smell very disinfectanty which one do you use just for the smell?
dementedpixie · 03/04/2021 19:58

I like twilight garden the best

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 03/04/2021 20:04

I mostly use it for floors, and drains....you do need to make sure floors are dry before pets go on them though. I think that's true of pretty much all disinfectants however.

TaraR2020 · 03/04/2021 20:53

@flyingburrito
Oh I don't know, it comes in a purple box! Hmm

summersolstice43 · 03/04/2021 21:16

Ive used zaflora for years, I've recently discovered Fabulosa which has far more items in their range and I use it on everything. Try a cap in your toilet cistern too.

Confusedandshaken · 06/04/2021 20:25

@FlyingBurrito.

If you sniff the fragrance direct from the bottle it will smell overwhelmingly of chemicals and you can't really get the fragrance. However it isn't meant to be used neat, you need to dilute it. I put a capful in a 400ml spray bottle of `koh cleaner and that seems to be about the right ratio to get the smell right.

Obviously we all like different scents. My favourite for a while was the honeysuckle and jasmine. My brother came over once when the windows were open and went into the garden to find out what flower smelt so lovely and it took us a while to work out the smell was from the Zoflora. A new favourite is White Blossoms. Lemon Zing is great to put down a sink at night - the whole room smells fresh the next morning.

I am a sucker for buying any new smells they bring out so I sometimes get one I can't bear. They get relegated to toilet duty.

Reinventinganna · 07/04/2021 08:29

Those that use it in the fabric conditioner drawer. Do you put it in with fabric softener? Is that not mixing chemicals?

dementedpixie · 07/04/2021 08:37

Yes sometimes there is fabric conditioner in there too. Neither are bleach based so mixing them doesn't give off fumes

Sugarcube84 · 07/04/2021 08:45

I dilute to make my own spray

Use when washing dog bedding (the pet one)

Down sinks

Soaking sponge/cloth overnight in boiling water

Wiping down radiators

I also use it if I’ve run out of fabric softener or have something that needs a proper freshen up.

One bottle lasts me ages so it works out much cheaper than buying sprays and not as much plastic waste, the only thing I don’t use it for is the bathroom, I like a bleach spray in there.
