Can anyone recommend a cheap but decent (probably corded) vacuum?

I am looking for a vacuum to use just on the communal stairway and hallways in a building converted into flats, so I don’t want to spend a lot. I am thinking corded may be better for this as you can usually go a bit cheaper and still have them work.

Having said that I need it to work fairly well as the carpets are really in need of a good hoover now, and get quite dirty with multiple people traipsing in and out. One that can do stairs or has attachments that can would be best.

Anyone know any bargains? Looking to spend £50-100 if that is possible?

Definitely Henry
Really long flex and a real workhorse.
Bulky for stairs tho

Henry. I've seen them recently in B&M at a good price.

Thank you, looks like Henry is a safe bet.

I always realise how little I relate to the average MN user on these sort of threads Grin
this is my hoover it's under £40 and I think it's fantastic.

@KilljoysDutch

I know that £50-100 is not really cheap, I did originally want to spend less but having seen dodgy reviews and bought one for about £40 that fell apart I resigned myself to paying more!

Is yours ok on carpet?

I have had £40-£50 ones before and they've seemed great but they just don't last so overall end up paying more replacing it!
