I've tried cold water, vanish, and bicarbonate of soda and scrubbed with a toothbrush I just can't get the stain out!

Anything else I can try?

The only thing that's ever worked for me is hydrogen peroxide.

Salt is good for blood.

I've heard white vinegar, but I've never tried it.

Suppose it also depends on how old the stain is.

Howmanysleepsnow · 18/03/2021 21:09

Salt would’ve worked but you have to apply it before any other liquid.

The enzymes in your saliva will break down the proteins in the blood and you can then wash it out with cold water and soap. Spit is the best thing for blood stains.

I would recommend hydrogen peroxide too. I bought it for a couple of pounds from Asda pharmacy a few years ago. They asked what I wanted it for, I told them and they sold it to me.

Sounds like something from a horror movie but it makes sense

Yes. Doesn't sound great but I wish I had known when I was younger so I hadn't binned so many clothes ruined by blood stains.

Ace laundry bleach. It’s really cool, it fizzes and bubbles on contact with blood.
