i have been given a very interesting collection of old glass bottles but they need a good clean! have bought a bottle brush and got some out but not all. what can i put in them to get them sparkly? (thought about dishwasher but don't have one!)

add a bit of uncooked rice and water - swirl it around and rinse. the dirt and grime will stick to the rice

hot water and vinegar maybe- leave them to stand for a while soaking?

Hello

I would say...hot soapy water and a handful of rice (not cooked) and shake vigorously. Then rinse.
Try white vinigar too...great for cleaning glass.

lemon juice will also do the trick and smells better than vinegar!
