Talk to me about kitchen bins

My kitchen is small and at the moment the recycling kind of gets chucked into a tesco bag for life in the corner of the kitchen, it looks messy and the kids end up just chucking things on top of the bag when it’s full. I need a new kitchen bin so was thinking if getting a double bin that has a compartment for recycling but I’m struggling to find what I want and some are crazy prices. Has anyone got a double or triple (food waste, recycling/rubbish) bin that didn’t cost the price of a small car?

Argos has quite a few around the £60 mark.

I've been mulling over a similar conundrum and have decided that we just don't have the space for an extra large bin that can accommodate the recycling.
The rule is straight into the outside recycling bins where possible, which are not too far from our kitchen back door.
If its very late and we're locked up already for the night, or while preparing a meal then they get stacked up next to the sink and can then be taken out in one go.
By actually having them on show like this - I think we are more active in keeping the whole kitchen tidy.
But I am a real stickler for tidying as you go along and am making my kids take this approach as well...

Have you got room for an in-cabinet bin? We did when we refurbed last time, would never use anything else now.

I haven’t got room for a in-cabinet one, my kitchen is a badly designed council house kitchen and is quite small. I have trouble finding the space to recycle food waste (nowhere to put the food waste bin as well as the other recycling and general waste, so ideally want something with 2 or possibly 3 compartments. At the moment we are producing too much general waste when I’m sure it could be a lot less if I had a easy to access food waste bin.
