Was talking to a friend today whose DD is same age (9mo) as my DS: I said, ooh isn't it hard work, I never seem to have any time to get anything done around the house... I know, she said, I've had to start doing the hoovering only EVERY OTHER DAY, NOT EVERY DAY!!!! Am I alone in thinking this is a little OTT on the hoovering?! In our house hoovering gets done every other WEEK!

I hoover downstairs 2x daily , mind you have 2 toddlers who seem to get crumbs everywhere cos I let them eat toast biscuits and other snacks where they damn well please and am particularly houseproud
each to there own in my book

I hoover downstairs daily and upstairs twice a week.

I have an open plan house downstairs and one of those carpets that shows all the bits. I can't bear to see the grot all over the floor so run the hoover round each evening when the children have gone to bed.

I hoover downstairs 2-3 times a day, upstairs 3 times a week.

Don't worry, I'm with you on the hoovering craziness.
I hoover maybe, maybe twice a week. Downstairs.
OUr bedroom in loft gets done once a fortnight. The first floor maybe once a week.
And I thought I was being thorough for getting it done that much
Obv if massive rice cake emergency, will have a quick whizz with the hoover. But otherwise.....

pooka · 08/11/2007 10:34

Three times a day can't be good for carpets can it?

Jacksmybaby · 08/11/2007 10:45

Yay pooka thanks for making me feel slightly less inadequate on the cleaning front!
And wow much respect to all you domestic goddesses out there.
And also to clarify, the kitchen floor where highchair is DOES get swept most days!
