Mattress removal

Hi, does anyone know if there’s a service where you can pay someone to come into your house and remove a mattress for you?
My husband and I suffer with bad backs and we have a superking mattress we need to get rid of
Thanks

I would list it on gumtree or Facebook as free to collect. I've managed to get rid of loads of large items this way.

Most councils have a online booking system to remove large items, it’s chargeable.

Thanks @Reallybadidea that’s a really good idea 😂

@FAQs yes I’ve seen that but they only offer curbside pick up and we’d ideally like someone to come into the house to collect it.

I'd only let someone in your home to remove it if he's easily gotten down the stairs - unless him are happy for them to scuff walls etc to get it out as most can be a bloody nightmare

@ivfbeenbusy yes that’s partly our concern too as it’s slightly tricky to get it down the stairs (hence why we don’t want to do it) so that’s why I was hoping we could pay a professional company to do it
