I am looking at changing from fairy washing up liquid to a refillable one. Just wondered what other people use and if they find them good as there is a few too choose from all at different prices. Thank you

I don’t use the washing up liquid but I’ve been getting Fill hand wash from the milkman.
It comes in glass bottles and you give the bottles back just like you do milk bottles. It’s not refilling as such but they take them away and refill them so it’s pretty close.
I use the hand wash but they do a washing up liquid too.

We use Splosh for loads of cleaning products including washing up liquid- it’s all been great, I’d recommend them.

Mumtocrazygirls · 05/03/2021 20:36

@StanfordPines Thank you we have just started using the milkman and forgot they do washing-up liquid, I will have a look

@NoSquirrels thank you, I will look at splosh, as well as good do you find the website easy to use. I currently use smol for dishwasher tabs and laundry capsules but unfortunately they don't do washing up liquid.

We use splosh too - we get some bits on subscription other bits just as we need them. All good although the hand wash takes a while to dissolve. Didn't like the flavour shower gel we tried - it smelt like cheap washing up liquid which was weird as their washing up liquid smells fine to me.

@didireallysaythat & @NoSquirrels I've just looked at there website and the prices seem quite good too. Just out of curiosity have either of you tried the toilet cleaner too

Website really easy - if you subscribe to a regular delivery it’s all customisable and very easy to amend.

We have toilet cleaner, kitchen spray, bathroom spray, washing up liquid, hand soap and shower gel. All good - you have to put in a bit of effort to shake stuff up to dissolve, some easier than others but none off putting.

I’m not a bleach and Zofkora type, however, so you may have different ideas but I’m really pleased from a convenience, environment and cleanliness POV.

I also recommend Splosh. We use:

(i) fragrance free laundry detergent;
(ii) fragrance free stain remover;
(Iii) toilet cleaner;
(iv) hand wash (berry);
(V) washing up liquid (lime);
(vi) dishwasher tablets.

I did also use the kitchen cleaner but found I missed my Ecover ginger and lemongrass.

I was a little sceptical at first but find all of the products to be really good, in particular the laundry and stain remover which are excellent.

The only thing I don't love is the smell of the dishwasher tabs. However, once in the machine and once the programme has run the smell doesn't lingers.

Their website and app are easy to use. I have everything on a subscription which is very easy to adjust.

I use Ecover washing up liquid and refill it at a local health food type shop. Also use Splosh for cleaning spray and toilet cleaner. Both great but have to admit I do still go back to bleach sometimes for the toilet.

Interesting okoko - I will try them out on laundry products too then.

I haven’t done dishwasher tabs mostly because we shop at Lidl and their own brand is really cheap and really effective. I might be closing my eyes to environmental credentials, admittedly.

Mumtocrazygirls · 06/03/2021 11:41

Thank you everyone, think I will try splosh

Looking at Splosh there is a recommend a friend thing. Does anyone want to share a code?

BlueShrew · 06/03/2021 17:36

@StanfordPines

Here's my referral code for 15% off:
FTC55Y17W2

I've been using their washing up liquid and handwash for about 18 months and have been working my way through sampling some of the other products.

DrunkBetch · 06/03/2021 19:37

We use loofco washing up bar of soap. It's really good

StanfordPines · 06/03/2021 21:51

Thanks Blue.

You might want to check which brands you can get refills of local to you before deciding.
