Pee on a new carpet

Hi all,

Do you have any tips to help? My little boy (11 months) has just christened the new carpet by peeing on it . We’ve just moved in to a new build with a fantastic carpet but I have absolutely no idea what to use to clean the carpet? I have absolutely no idea what type of carpet it is, just a normal thick fluffy one.
Anyone have any pearls of wisdom to help?

I just used soap and water. Dab with kitchen roll first to soak up as much as possible then use washing up liquid on a cloth

Do not get the stain too wet - because that will attract dirt into the pile

Work from outside in. Blot thoroughly then go over with slightly damp cloth with soap/detergent/carpet cleaner.

If you can get your hands on some today, try pet urine remover - they contain enzymes which break down urine and remove the smell
