Kitchen Week

Well despite WAKING UP with a flippin Migraine I have a busy morning. House is a tip, but kids are back at school/nursery, so only have DD2 this morning which means I can tidy.

My head is not too bad as far as migraines go...I woke up and couldn't actually see, and felt very sick trying to make breakfast! The headache is not too bad luckily.

Well Fireworks tonight, our next door neighbour is cooking
(I am very grateful of that today! REALLY wouldn't have fancied cooking for 11 people!)

I have been up all night feeling sick haven't actually been sick but feel very dodgy still this morning.
Ds has a cough and dd is tired and says her tummy hurts - I may have to keep one or both of them off school...they're both up and dressed but I'll see how they seem after breakfast.

I'm hoping for a quiet easy day but there are jobs which need doing around the house so I doubt I'll get much rest, esp if I have a poorly child or two to look after!

Better go and get dressed while dh gets breakfast. See you all later x

Glad its kitchen week, my kitchen isn't too bad but it helps me keep on top of things.

Sorry to hear you're both ill, Luda and Bianca.

My DD2 is ill and still in bed (!), she was sick all over me last night. On the plus side (eternal optimist) it does mean I've got ahead of myself this morning. Didn't realise how much extra work she creates in the mornings usually!

Hi coco, good to see you Hope your dd2 feels better soon.

I've sent both mine to school - the teacher in dss class was quite happy for him to be there with a cough, she says they've all got it anyway! Dd cried when I left her but I do think she'll feel better once she gets going, she doesn't have a temperature, she's just tired mostly.

I'm very tired and tearful (was awake from 12.30- 4am) so am going to clear the breakfast table and then have a rest for a bit.

EHM did you have a good weekend away? My finger is still pretty yukky thanks for asking..I think it'll be OK though.

Well we are out at playgroup this am, but have done morning routines and will crack on again when we get back. Workmen are back this am and already it is a mess outside

coco aww your poor DD2 hope she makes a speedy recovery. My ds is a bit poorly, has had stomach ache...DD2 now has it, and very runny poos. Its never ending all these bugs!

Well, I had better make a start...guinea pigs are my first port of call...they are beginning to smell the hall out...they are squeaking at me to feed them too.

Hope all the poorly ones are better soon! My DD1 is still not well. Its been going on ages. She's still getting over this cough but is tired and irritable with it so I've kept her off pre-school as we've had 3 tantrums already this morning which is unlike her.

DD2 in bed. Going to try and whizz around the kitchen now. Did this mission yesterday so smug

Hi FGS Your DD1 has been poorley for so long! Poor little thing...I hope she recovers soon.

Well I've cleaned the piggies (Bianca...I think they actually prefer being inside now. I caught one of them sprawled out fast asleep! They come out and stay out of their bed a lot more now too....less mad scattering when ever anyone walks past)
They have started to recognise certain noises too which makes them sqeak with delight...usually if they hear me chopping something they know they are in for some veggies...or a packet rustle, they squeak in the hope of hay or spinach leaves. Very Cute!

I've hoovered downstairs
Cleaned the kitchen bin and put the bag out
Washed the cat food bowls up
Loaded the dishwasher and put it on

Off to attempt the mission

Mission complete...and they worktops are all wiped down

Off to get DS in a few minutes, and then I'm off for my welsh lesson....so see you all later

Ruby Fingures crossed with the training - DS1 is still in anppies and will use the toilet sometimes, but refuses the potty. Keep thinking I must do it, but always find a reason not to.

Mission completed - I am a little einstein today, since we are on the childrens programmes. Mr Tumble scares both of mine - LOL

Right - I must sort out tea as I am at the doctors this PM and DH will be doing the zoo feed.

we are off to my brother for the fireworks tonight (he and my SIL run a sports and social club - like a workingmens for Corus), so that should be fun, although I am sick of fireworks at the wrong time - barhumbug

Sorry to hear of all the illness !

Sickness bug arrived here this morning at the Yadd's (dh last night and dd.. threw up spectacularly over her and ds's school playground .. she'd been fine until about 10 seconds before)
Washing maching man arrived .. sighed/drank tea/tinked/scratched head/tinkered.. pronounced w/m has gone to the great scrapheap in the sky one month I've been waiting !!!

Just ordered a new machine (arriving on Wednesday)

Gah !

Did all last week's living room missions earlier, place looked great, then had a 3 year old boy and his toddling sister for tea and now... well, what can I say???!!!!????

Luda guinea pigs sound super cute. DD1 wants a guinea pig...

MadHouse how is your friend? And your mum? I feel like I've missed days and days of threads.

And Bianca something about another baby?? Are you planning a new arrival?

Yaddah I go away for days, and you still have no WM . Glad to hear that there is finally going to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Sorry to hear that everyone else's LOs are also ill, it really does seem to just go on and on with no break.

Bear Thanks for asking. Mum is OK, she gets her results 4 December and I need to go with her.

Friend is not OK, but will be. She was fitted with a brace and x-rayed. She got all excited (managed to go to the loo) and thought they would send her home, but............ She has the op tomorrow.
