Recommended a mattress topper

Can anyone recommend a good mattress topper? Am I best to go with memory foam? I have had problem with my back/hip and chiro suggested changing my mattress. I've ordered one, but it won't come for a month, so I thought I'd try a topper in the mean time. I realise it would be a substitute, but willing to try help at least a little.

We've got a gorgeous one from John Lewis, and it's machine washable. It's made a massive difference to our bed.

We did borrow DDs memory foam topper and I felt like I was being boiled alive on it, it was far too hot...........!!

@addicted2spaniels the reviews sound great. I have a John Lewis gift card to use, so that's perfect! Thanks so much for your recommendation.

I've just washed ours and it's on the heated airer. Our bed feels horrible without it Sad

I was swung by the reviews too, JL reviews are usually quite brutally honest so I tend to read them well before purchasing.

I have that John Lewis dual topper too and it's fantastic!

I've bought a few over the years including white company and the John Lewis is the best so far

Thrilled to read this (and it made it i to 'Mumsnet Swear by). Literally revived this and put on our bed today so looking forward to going to bed tonight.
