Storing Coats/Ski Gear in the Loft

Having a clear out before DS arrives in June! Unsure about putting my good wool coats up there but want to shove waterproof type clothing in the loft.

How should I do it? Do I need vacuum bags, plastic boxes, special garment covers? Will they be OK hung up or is it like other coats/clothing in that you should protect it in something? Sorry for the stupid question! First home we've had where we actually have attic space.

I have stored clothes in the loft, usually in see through storage bags, like under bed storage type size, I didn't bother with vacuum bags as space wasn't an issue, our loft isn't the cleanest and a bit dusty so we always pack things that are up there. Wool coats would probably be ok as long as you put moth killer things in the storage bag with them, I use the little tablet ones that you put into drawers for anything wool
