Does everyone have an 'odd-sock' bag?

Mine currently has over 100 socks in it Once in a while I tackle it, and reduce by about 50%. I only pair socks if they come off the washing line as a pair (rare). If only one sock of the pair is there, they go in the bag, hopefully to be reunited at some point. Where am I going wrong?

Black socks are the worst - boring and hard to pair up. Should chuck the lot and buy 20 new pairs of the same socks really. Love doing kids patterned socks - easy work!

what professin does a woman wear socks that other people see?

Tortington · 02/11/2007 12:37

no no dont tell me - my point is that socks are under boots or under trousers - not under LAYDIES shoes - dont wear socks with skirts. men and boys wear them under trousers - unless your a personal trainer.

in all honesty for the average everyday wear - who looks that close - and if they do - wouldnt you report them to the police?

DH & I have black socks
DD has white ones
DS has grey ones

I think that most of you have too many socks. I have about 6 pairs. Then there aren't so many that they get mixed up.

My DH had some odd socks that were waiting for their "friends" to turn up. 3 years and a house move later I finally persuaded him that perhaps the friends just weren't going to appear and that he should let the odd socks go.

have only read op - we currently have no odd socks - I threw out all the odd socks a few weeks ago .
felt great, so go on, chuck them out!

my mum once bought dd1 and dd2 'matching socks' - there were about 10 in each set. NIGHTMARE! As they are only a few sizes apart, it took ages to match up and there were always a few pairs that had little/large sock. I threw out (gave to charity) all the bigger socks, I couldn't be doing with that.

always get different colours/patters, much easier that way
dh always has same socks
me too (tesco do great knee length black ones!)

dd deliberately wears odd socks - always. Im not bothered if mine dont match either. As someone said earlier a pair is a pair and nobody ever notices.
