Mattress too hot!

I bought an Otty a few months ago and have been too hot in bed. I tried getting a wool duvet, linen duvet covers etc but it's still too hot. I then changed back to my old mattress and saw how uncomfortable it is but at least I'm not boiling hot with it.

Can anyone recommend a topper to keep it cool as it's really comfortable, I've realised but I'm far to hot.

Yes, I've tried using a Summer duvet with it but am freezing on top and too hot on the mattress. I don't have the heating on and I also have the window open.

Any ideas?

Do you have a mattress protector on it? I find memory foam too hot without one but a quilted mattress protector and 100% cotton sheets seem to sort it.

Ours is only something like this & then the bed is made up with 100% cotton sheets & duvet covers.

Ty. I have two. One is the original one that came with the mattress and the other is a waterproof one I put on in case I spilled anything on it and couldn't return it.

I have cotton sheets and linen duvet cover, cotton pillow cases.

A waterproof mattress protector will make it very hot as it will have a coating on it so won’t be breathable. I would try it without for a few nights and don’t drink your morning cuppa in bed to prevent risk of spills.

I was just thinking that. I have been looking at bamboo mattress protectors instead and there are also full on NASA designed cooling protectors. The mattress is very comfortable, so if I can find a solution to the heat, I'll be really happy.
