Anyone got an Aga?

We'll be moving into a new house after Christmas and its got an Aga.

Its one of the 4 oven ones and there is no alternative oven/hob within the kitchen.

Anyway I'm looking for a good book that I can ask for for Christmas about the basics of using an aga and any other Aga related cookware ideas that you can't live without that I can add to the wish list!

Thanks

Don't have an AGA but work for plumbing company and in our area, they are very popular.

Have found this site www.agacookshop.co.uk/epages/Store.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/AgaShop/Categories/Books&PageSize=12& gclid=CNuKwprIu48CFQmHHgodNjiAWA that seems to have loads of cookbooks.

I have a four oven AGA. I would recommend you buy a good quality AGA kettle and heavy based pans with meatl handles that can be used on top and in th eovens. The heavy bases keep the pan in contact with the heat plate and cook much faster.

The thing that took me longest to get used to was that you don't get cooking/baking smells as it all goes up the flue. Make sure you get a reliable timer or you'll end up with many a burnt cake/dinner.

Amy Wilcock is also an AGA queen

Definitely a timer.
