Disposing of old pairs of glasses

I have around 10 years worth of old prescription glasses and sunglasses from me and DS. Do you know anywhere that will take them? Perhaps a charity. I am happy to package them up and send them off somewhere if need be

You can drop them off at specsavers

Opticians aren't taking them at the mo. We tried dropping some of my daughter's old glasses. Hold on to them until restrictions have eased.

I think specsavers just recycle them for plastic which seems a waste to me.

This charity apparently helps get glasses to people to help them

The lions aren't currently accepting donations either.

I posted mine somewhere as Specsavers aren’t taking them at the moment but can’t remember where (sorry not helpful!)

Specsavers don't just use them for plastic, they send them to charity although they're not taking them in at the moment.

Ok thanks everyone. Looks like I will need to wait until Specsavers opens again
