We’ve just moved into a rented property with anti bac polished stone kitchen worktops (the type they use in labs). It’s quite a dark colour and there are quite a few scratches on the surface from the previous tenant.
We have been sooo careful but I have just noticed a couple of new scratches (from us) - likely from sliding the tea bag caddy around when making cups of tea and as well as a mug mark. We’ve only been in a couple of days! Never had this issue with a work top before and it doesn’t seem very practical to me, especially for a rental. I’ve popped chopping boards down to cover it all in the meantime.
Is there anything we can buy to prevent further scratches, or fix the ones that exist? LL showed me a polish to get rid of water marks (as I said I was concerned about further scratching) but I think it may need to be re sealed or something if it is that easily scratched? It seems really really delicate and I’m so scared to use the kitchen now!
