Red vaseline in sofa fabric - how to get it out?

My son opened my red vaseline & accidentally smeared it on the sofa, he liked putting it on my lips and his cheeks or his face to be funny, it's almost pretend play?

Anyway, he had a bit too much on his finger, climbed on the sofa and now I'm like: how do I get this out? I got a sponge with fairy and water straight away but didn't come out.

Any ideas?

What colour is your sofa? Could you patch test using crushed dishwasher tablet?

Dr Beckmann stain remover got biro off my pale couch. You'd need to test patch though.

@Strongarmy it's grey, I could probably at the back?

@Whatsnewpussyhat I will get that and do it at the back of the sofa as well!

Thank you x

talc or bicarb to dry it, brush it off then clean with WUL, and sponge off.

Shaving foam can lift out greasy stains, did wonders on foundation stained fancy top!
