Mission

OP posts:

I think I'd go with putting it back and pretending not to have found it in the first place.

Kids are currently covering my kitchen with pumpkin Ds is very squeemish and keeps freaking out when the gooey bits go near him!
DD1 is merrily hollowing hers out and DD2 seems quite happy squatting next to them and watching...bless!

Well my throat is not much better, but luckily I don't feel too bad apart from the throat. I think tomorrow will be fine. I'm quite excited now too....kids are going to help me make the snake jelly next, and the bug ice cubes. DD1 has made paper chains, and pain stakingly drawn pumpkins on them all.

Well better go and rescue the kitchen! xx

ludaghoul · 30/10/2007 15:03

Oh...and in my halloween compilation is this..

Jack Black Rocks

He is soooo funny....and my DD1 loves it!

BiancaCastafiore · 30/10/2007 15:13

Luda The party sounds fab! The marshmallow game involves starting with one marshmallow in your maouth and saying "chubby bunnies", then you have to have 2 marshmallow and say it, then 3, 4 etc, whoever can say "chubby bunnies" with the most marshmallows in their mouths wins!
The chocolate game is fun to, as suggested by TMSH - Tramps picnic we call it. We tend to use chocolate buttons on a spoon cos little ones find it too difficult to cut up a bar of chocolate.
I'm going to copy you and make my kids the jelly tomorrow as a suprise

I've done a little bit of FLYing but have mostly wasted my bonus time today sitting around and being idle.
I have~
~do all the usual routines done
~finish sewing some sparkles onto dds costume for ther halloween party (tis tonight) done
~iron done and put away nope
~2x loads of washing done
~mop floors nope
~wash rug from living room (dd spilt her spagetti on it last night!) done
~sort through Christmas presents and tick off on list nope
~start making home-made gifts (really need to get going on these now) nope
~put away washing done

Need to get ds in a mo - I've missed him! I'm slightly dreading the days once he goes to school full time after Christmas...what will I do all day? I'm going to be bored

Jas · 30/10/2007 15:24

Hi all
Really quick post. I've skimmed the thread and notced Mr grouchy has taken notice of lists, but not much elsehassunk in.

Someone laughed at hoovering the rubble....not only did he hoover rubble, but he took the hoover outside and hoovered up all the sawdust off the grass this afternoon! I love my Henry. No other hoover could cope with this level of abuse.

I spent an hour in the loft moving everything out of the way so the electrician can get access toda, so that ounts as FLYin for me. I have to empty this room this evening so he can start in here.

Bianca I LOVE the sound of that game!! Maybe we could change it to "Chubby Zombies" !

My ds goes full time after xmas too...I think I won't have time to miss him though, I will still have DD2 here...but I bet she will miss him...

Oooooh I have added "Thriller" to my playlist too...but the actual video is really scary!! Might have to turn the video off for that one!!!!

Anyone doing anything tomorrow?

BiancaCastafiore · 30/10/2007 15:29

We'll be going trick ot treating to a few neighbours Luda, (and eating grusome jelly now too I hope!) Chubby Zombies sounds fab!

I wish I'd had a third baby to be at home with me

BiancaCastafiore · 30/10/2007 15:30

Must go and collect the two I do have now, and an extra one who I'm delivering to the party with dd

See you all later x

spookybatoscar · 30/10/2007 15:30

Hello again

I've had a productive day. Ed wanted to go in the front garden to look at the flowers (a re-sprouted primula) (bless him) So i pruned a privet with him and sorted it out into leaves for compost and twigs for the council.

Tidied Ed's room that he trashed this morning (bit of a trade off but he helped in a way)Just got the ironing to do now.

Hope you are having good days

Oh Bianca how old is DS? He must be same age as Ed as he starts school in January too. I've resigned myself to either tackling DIY jobs or joining the economically active!

Jas · 30/10/2007 15:41

Bianca I had ds when dd2 started school so I have the full benefit ofthose extra years of being at home (and no money, but we can't have everything!)

Luda I'm a bit BahHumbug whenit comes to Haloween, but this year dd1 has a school disco, and dd2 has her first week at Brownies, so they will both be doing things they enjoywithout me having to say no trick or treating

OP posts:
ludaghoul · 30/10/2007 16:12

jas I know what you mean about trick or treat...I am not overly impressed with the theory of it, but we only go to people I know will be happy to see us...and we don't actually take tricks. Infact we had one come to our door last year who gave us all a sweet back!!
Bianca I hope the jelly turns out ok...I have just done ours and put it to set over night...I got that idea off the internet.

I'll spend tomorrow making biscuits and pumpkin shaped pizzas and the likes.

And thanks all...as a very last minute effort it seems quite exciting

ludaghoul · 30/10/2007 16:17

How old is ED GO my ds was 4 in September...he goes up to school in January too.
I'm a bit worried though as he doesn't like nursery at all!

Simply · 30/10/2007 16:25

Hello to all. Just a quick post.

luda Your halloween ideas are great! I hope your throat is much better soon.

EHM I had a funny feeling that dh might have taken the wrong passport the other day but I was wrong, thankfully.

Right. I'm child free at the mo and am house-sitting so I'm going to do a job or two while it is still light outside. See you later or tomorrow.

EvilHM · 30/10/2007 17:18

Sorry everybody I've read & re read the thread since my last post & there are so many messages & this new lay out which I thought I changed to 'classic' is driving me mad
luda I am excited for you your holloween plans sound fab can we have pictures
bianca hope lo's enjoy their halloween party tonight.
simply thankfully ellie's passport picture looks very like her daddy
FGS I was hoping Ellie & I would have to Brussels with the passport, no such luck
grouch glad Mr Grouchy found the lists

Hello to Anybody I've missed & haven't mention in person I am so sorry. Right Ellie is having her evening meal & eating it for a change. Once dd has finished we will go upstairs.I am going to make up the cot, put some ironing away, then run the bath for dd.
Once dd is in bed I'll finish the ironing.
Have a good evening All.x

BiancaCastafiore · 30/10/2007 18:19

I've dropped dd in a hall with 36 various grim looking characters all screaming and being chased by someones dad dressed up as a hunchback! It was the stuff of nightmares, I'm not sure dd will be completely happy about it all... Need to head back out soon to collect her - ds is loving the dark walks to and from the party venue!

Grouchy ds was 4 in August He's at school 1/2 days now, then full time in the New Year (if I want him to, he could wait till after Easter - he loves school though so I expect he'll go full time asap)

Jas I'm the same usually but we go to a handful of pre-arranged friends/neighbours and it keeps everyone happy - the eldery neighbours on our street love seeing our los dressed up and thankfully we're a dead-end lane so they don't get anyone else round.
I am very tempted to have a third baby...not sure I could cope with 3 though, I have HUGE admiration for those of you who do I do have a slight feeling that there's someone missing from the family iykwim...

Simply hello

Better go and get our coats/hats/gloves on and collect dd the witch!
See you all later x

ludaghoul · 30/10/2007 19:18

EHM If my dh doesn't take the camera, I'll take some piccies

Bianca....having three really isn't that much different than having one or two...you just adapt to cope. You would be at a slight advantage because your two are older, plus they would both be at school in the day.
Down side though...sleep deprivation...plus
I don't personally think I could physically cope with another. I don't enjoy being pregnant very much either.

(I shouldn't keep showing you these should I but how cute is this baby!!!)

Awww!

tortoise · 30/10/2007 19:34

Hi all.
Still on dial up .

DC back to school tomorrow. had 2 inset training days. I will miss having them around but not the mess they leave behind them. DD1 has already said she doesn't want to go to school.

Hope everyone is ok. Haven't read thread.

Oh, has anyone got/know anyone who might have Boys clothes age 14-15ish? see here

BiancaCastafiore · 30/10/2007 20:34

Oh God Luda I want one of those!

Hello tort hope to catch up soon x

Simply · 30/10/2007 21:04

Hello EHM and BC and all.

I did my little job earlier! Great fun - cleaning up leaves. I had to stop when it got dark, though. Grrrrr.

Right. Must get the children off to bed. See you tomorrow!

Jas · 30/10/2007 21:11

Oh Bianca 3 is great, and as Luda said it is lovely having abit of a gap. The dds were 5 and 6 when I had ds, and it is almost like just having one when they are at school. A luxery for me as I felt like I missed out on one to one time by having the dds so close together.

I never got over the idea that I'd never have another baby, but now I have ds I really do feel we are finished.

Apologies for the odd parcel wrapping when you recieve it. I had no paper or sellotape so I used an old poster and some plaster board tape

Evening all

I have just got back from the hospital - bloddy NHS. Friend has scans today, but no results till tomorrow. Her moodis not the best at the moment, but I gave her pumkin soup and lots of gentle hugs.

I am going OK with the flying, but do need to get back on top of things on the toy front. I am hoping that I can get rid of some more to charity etc over the next couple of weeks.

Oh PLEASE stop talking about babys. I would love more, the mind is willing, but the body is definaly not.

gibberish · 30/10/2007 22:20

No more babies TMH - they are bad for your waistline and your shiny sink!

Finally over that thank goodness. Love my sister's little baby but it's nice to hand him back

Lots and lots to do tomorrow, very busy day so will have a humungous list.
