Hello all,
I wondered if anybody might have a solution for me please? We have a walk-in shower with clear silicon around the tray and screen.
Once or twice a year I have to do a bit of mould blasting. On the horizontal/flat bead of silicon I normally create a sort of damn out of cotton wool plait, then saturate the cotton wool with bleach. I then leave it overnight, peel it off in the morning and it's completely mould free under there.
I'm having trouble with this small section of vertical silicon where the shower screen meets the tiled wall… My normal trick isn't working. I even tried duct-taping cotton wall plait into the corner and pouring bleach in from the top, leaving it overnight ...but it just didn't have the staying power to do anything. The bleach just flowed away.
I'm wondering if there is something I can spray on (or some kind of paste) that will cling onto this upright area long enough to let a bleaching agent work? We are moving house soon so I'm not really up for replacing the silicon with anti-mould stuff. Thanks! X
