Storage containers

I'm trying to have a more organised and clean home this year, and one of the things I need to sort out are storage containers.

I need lots of containers for the things like the following:

  • rice
  • soda crystals
  • cereals
  • herbs/spices

Does anyone have any recommendations? I find it difficult to judge online what's good or a suitable size, so all suggestions are appreciated!

If you’ve landed here looking for info on which cupboard storage to go for, we’ve very recently refreshed our best food storage containers page with plenty of high-quality options recommended by Mumsnetters. We hope you find it useful.

i love a storage container. have you been watching the home edit on netflix....

we have square kilmer jars for pasta and rice, round flip top ones for seeds, nuts, pulses etc.

plastic cereal tubs for cereal (have three - one for porridge, one for frosties and one for weetabix) all the same size

i bought a couple of spice racks from dunelm - and bought labels from amazon. the racks have glass jars and they all sit neatly in their designated holes

when we have a kitchen refurb later this year hopefully i'm going to get all matching things - because organisation.

i also have shallow trays in the cupboards for things like flour bags. these then don't get the cupboards dirty.

I'm going to have to check out that show!

What sizes do you use?

Can I be a pain and ask for links?
