Any cleaning stuff out there for cleaning a conservatory roof?

The roof on our conservatory is going a bit green with algae, so is looking a bit yuk! We've got an extendable pole thingey, with a squeezy bit on the end like window cleaners use, but wondered if there's anything like washing up liquid or other stuff that people use to make the job a bit easier.
Thanks for any help given.

we used a pressure washer and needed no detergent
but ecover w-up liquid or multipurpose cleaner would bbe worth a bash - important to use a biodegradable one as it ends up all over the garden. You may find you need something more abrasive than a squeegy though.

Cif is pretty good

We bought a pressure washer in June but haven't used it yet! We wondered whether it would be too powerful and might break something! We'll perhaps start with Cif and work up to the washer!

My dad and dh pressure washered inside the conservatory and outside the other day. The results were outstanding.

They scrubbed it with cif and then pressure washed it off. Go for it!

If it worked on yours, Cif and pressure washer it is! It's about time we tried out that pressure washer!

I've passed on your suggestions to DH. He's asking though if your roof is glass or plastic? We've got a plastic one and he's still not sure whether it would survive being pressure washed.

Ours is plastic. Dh just said they used a soft brush with the cif to scrub it and then they just pressure washed it off. If you have one of those vax carpet cleaners or similar then if you are washing the inside afterwards you can suck all the water up.

Oh right, well if yours was OK, I think we'll have to give it a go!

The floor in ours is tiled and they did that too, pressure washers are great
