Cleaning stainless steel gas hob

Hi all.

The hob always looks grubby and smeary no matter what I do with it. Is there a secret I’m not in on?! Also the black racks that the pans rest on-they need a real deep clean but I’m worried about damaging them!

Any tips please? I’m getting the oven professionally cleaned next week so want the hob up to scratch as well! Smile

Well I do it with my oven racks so my logic tells me it's sort of the same? Grin failing that there's always pink stuff! X

You can buy spray on stainless steel cleaner. It works a treat!

I'm converted to Method Stainless Steel cleaner it's amazing. Bonus points as it smells lovely too. I also used/use baby oil which is great for a good finish but not for actual cleaning. The black tops on your gas hobs don't put them in the dishwasher wash by hand. I always put my racks in the dishwasher they have come up fine.
