Limescale on taps

After some top tips!
Me and DP rent our apartment and the water quality is quite rubbish I’d say hard water perhaps??
I do clean the house religiously but the lime scale on the end of my taps is awful has anyone any tips to remove this?
I’ve used cilit bang but that doesn’t work and I worry as it’s not my house I don’t want to ruin someone else’s taps.

These are great.

A penny. Someone mentioned it on here and it works brilliantly.

Cut a lemon in half, put the cut-side on the end of the tap and hold it in place for a bit with an elastic band.

Viakal works so much better than cilit bang

HG Limescale remover. It is AWESOME
It fizzes away the limescale like magic, no effort required! It works better than Viakal. Just make sure you wear gloves it stings like a bitch if you have any little cuts or dry skin on your hands.

From another thread- a 2p piece! I’d tried everything but this has been brilliant. I’ll never waste money on descaler spray again.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/01/2021 22:54

I tried all potions possible but nothing worked until a humble 2p scraped it off in seconds

sylbunny · 11/01/2021 22:54

Viakal. Spray it on some loo roll and then wrap that round the tap like papier-mâché. Leave for an hour or so and then rinse off.

I soak a paper towel in vinegar and leave it over where the limescale is overnight. Works brilliantly. I never use limescale remover products as I prefer natural.

I do the vinegar trick. Works every time.
