I'm looking to buy a new set of saucepans in a couple of weeks but am really struggling to find a set that aren't crazy expensive but that are able to take on the toll of a family of 5! Also would need to be purchased online. Please help point me in the right direction Smile

I would keep with stainless steel. Tried all sorts over the years and chucked away lots but decent stainless steel are still being used.

Another vote for stainless steel. I can’t recommend a brand cos mine are ancient. But they’ve outlasted all the others. I would pay more for a thicker bottom and a tight fitting lid.

Mine might fall into your "crazy expensive" category but I have stainless steel le creuset pans. Absolutely amazing. Thick bottom do even cook, never stain and about 5 years in and they look new.

Got a feeling the set us around £300.

I have another cheaper set in my holiday house which was around £70. I think it will only last a year which isn't very good value really (Tower non-stick).

Thanks for your suggestions, I think I will definitely go for stainless steel as suggested, just having a look at the different options

Are you an Amazon Prime member? I bought my set from Amazon Warehouse and saved quite a bit on a Circulon set. Mine was just a damaged box:
