Cloudy glasses in dishwasher HELP

Hi all, landlady has just installed an Electriq dishwasher, its a cheapish one. We have a terrible problem with cloudy glasses, its the worst I've ever seen. We have rinse aid and have added salt, we live in a hard water area, we are even using more expensive tablets, nothing seems to work. I have put white wine vinegar in a wash but that going to end up expensive.
Any ideas? Is it the machine? Our previous may have the odd cloudy glass but not to this extent

Could be limescale in which case it should remove with vinegar used on the glass. Or it could be etching which is damage to the glass and can't be reversed.

I changed from finish tablets to aldi and it stopped this problem.

whatsoccuringnow I always use the cheapest I can get, but a we were having problems we swapped to fairy and the last wash was the worst one yet. I am now running it again with a cheap tablet and with white wine vinegar.

Most dishwashers have a hard water selector that changes the allocation of salt/rinse aid. It should be set when the machine is first installed. Ours is set to max hard water for our area. Look online for your model’s instruction manual to find out how to do it.

Its white vinegar you need, not white wine vinegar!
